Excellent value, July 16, 2010 By This review is from: Rowenta GS6010 Precision Valet Garment Steamer (Kitchen) This is my first garment steamer - but I liked the feel of the fabric covering around the main hose, the other ones had a kind of hard plastic wrapping. You have full steam in about 20 seconds and we LOVE using this instead of the old iron and ironing board. It also has a tool to crease the collars and sleeves so you can still have that freshly "pressed" look. The only engineering bug is it doesn't really follow you around very well with just the two wheels on the back. Instinctually, I tug a little on the hose to get a little further reach and it kind of bounces all over the carpet even if I need it to budge just a foot or two.

I got it at Target, and I was looking for a replacement snap-on presser part (lost mine), found the actual steamer, and thought I would throw my two cents in since the other reviews aren't that great. I have had no trouble whatsoever with the steamer. It's not made to use with starch, so don't expect a hard-pressed crease to form and stay all day. That's not the point. It does have the handy little slide-on/snap-on presser piece (which is what I am trying to find) to form creases, but the crease is more of a nice, softly defined sort. I use this in between dry cleanings to keep our suits, coats, etc. fresh and non-wrinkled. I just spritz on a little Febreze, turn on the steamer, and smooth away the wrinkles and any trapped odors. It was very hand when we moved to get all the wrinkles and folding creases out of the drapes I had folded and packed away in plastic sleeves. Great steamer for the money, December 7, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Rowenta GS6010 Precision Valet Garment Steamer (Kitchen) For this price point, this steamer is an amazing deal. It heats up within 30-60 seconds and produces a substantial amount of steam. The included stand is helpful to hang any and all garments, and the on/off button at the base is very easy to use as well. I've had other steamers that were actually more expensive than this one, that don't even compare in performance, let alone price. Keep in mind it is best to use distilled water with a steamer like this to avoid long term clogging due to debris from normal tap water.
